Hostinger suspended the entire hosting account of Indian journalist Paranjoy Guha Thakurta on 28 October 2026. The site paranjoy.in and its subdomains, including media.paranjoy.in and adanifiles.paranjoy.in, went offline that morning.
According to Guha Thakurta's public statement of 31 October 2026, a Hostinger support specialist said the suspension was triggered by an abuse report for "Fraud/Scam" and that "unsuspension is not negotiable in this case". He says he received no prior notice or chance to respond, and that Hostinger cited no court order. The takedown came days after Indiabulls founder Sameer Gehlaut obtained an ex parte injunction on 24 October 2026 against a single article from 2019. Guha Thakurta calls the Fraud/Scam claim "demonstrably false" and says VirusTotal and Google Safe Browsing flagged nothing on the sites.
The reports we reviewed do not include a statement from Hostinger. They also do not say whether the domain registration itself was affected or only the hosting service.
